Felicitas's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase land for a vegetable farm.
Felicitas is 30 years old and works in a gold mine, typically starting her day at 8 a.m. and ending between 4 and 5 p.m. She lives with her partner and two children, who are one and seven years old. Felicitas has worked in the gold mine for about one year, and she is requesting a loan in order to purchase a plot of land which she will use to farm potatoes, maize, and beans. With this additional income stream, she hopes to be able to open a store to sell fruit and groceries. Felicitas is a member of the village bank “Los Caminantes de Ocongate,” which is receiving its first loan from Asociación Arariwa. The group members live in a fairly remote rural community several hours outside of Cusco city, located at an altitude of 3,800 meters up in the Andean mountains.
