Ofelia Elizabeth's story
Ofelia lives with her children and her husband. She makes a living selling 'pupusas' (a traditional Salvadoran food made of a thick corn tortilla that is stuffed with a combination of cheese, meat and beans), snacks and drinks. She has had this business for two years. She started it from her own initiative as a way to help her husband by contributing to the household expenses. She is requesting a loan to buy firewood as well as other products including corn, oil, seasonings, beef and chicken to use to make the food and 'pupusas' she sells. This loan will allow her improve and maintain the necessary aspects of her business. Her goal is to increase the size of her business and attract more customers so she can improve her income.
