A loan helped to buy an overlock sewing machine and new fabric.

Liliana Victoria's story

Liliana, 26, has a sewing machine that she can use to make curtains, furniture covers, decorations and repairs. The reason why she decided to set up this type of business is that her husband learned how to work hard and with dedication at a friend’s shop while Liliana always concentrated on saving so that they could some day open a business of their own. Some time ago they finished paying off their sewing machine and have learned much more about this type of business; it’s something they’ve both liked very much above all because it’s a complete family business which makes them very happy because not only have they been able to work together but have also been able to generate income needed for their little 8-year-old girl, María Ángeles, who gets good grades in school and is very obedient with her parents. Their little girl is their main source of energy and the reason why they decided to become independent. They currently need to buy an overlock sewing machine and new fabric to make curtains. Profits will allow them to improve their daughter’s education, to have more customers and in time open another sewing shop.
