A loan helped to purchase a motorbike for her children to commute to work.

Se's story

Se, 66, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. She has been running the business of buying junk materials to resell at the junk shop for over six years, earning approximately USD $2 per day. Her husband runs the business of repairing bicycles and earns about USD $3 per day. Her two children are employed - one is a garment worker and the other one is employed in a pottery factory. They earn approximately USD $8 per day. Due to the difficulty in the family’s transportation, Se is requesting for a loan of USD $1200 to purchase a motorbike for her children to commute to work. This purchase would enable her children to use the saved money on transportation expenses to support the family.
