San Jose Obrero Group's story
This committee is called 'San José Obrero' and its fifteen members are in their first loan cycle. This is a group whose members stand out in their neighborhood as being very united, supportive and responsible. They are very hard-working women who have a desire to do well and help their families. Shirley sells cosmetics. This is something she does very well as she always offers good-quality products at a low price. She says that she started out with just a few customers but, thanks to her sales skills, she has been able to make progress and get ahead. Her goal is to continue working in her business but she would like to grow the business and continue helping her family members. Shirley would like to buy more cosmetics and she is requesting a loan from Kiva and Fundación Paraguaya so that she can stock up and have a wider variety of products available for her customers.
