Margot's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy bags of organic fertilizer and a bag of pea seeds.
32-year-old Margot is a married woman. She lives with her husband, Elmer, and their two children: 15-year-old Kenler and 4-year-old Ángel. They live in their own home, in the town of Patay, in Palca-Tarma district. Margot is a persevering woman. Three years ago she had a bad experience. Her potato harvest failed as a result of low prices. Now she only grows peas and gladioli which, since she first started farming, have always given her good results. "I have sown one and a half bags of peas and, when I harvest them in May, I will get 40 sacks from them", she says. Margot also grows gladioli and her buyers come to her farm to visit her and negotiate their sale. Her husband Elmer works as a driver and offers a transport service on the Tarma - Cerro de Pasco - La Oroya routes. Margot would like to offer her children an education, food and decent clothes. In order to achieve this and in order to acquire other things, she will continue working. This will be Margot's 7th loan from MFP and she pledges to be punctual in making her monthly repayments. "Los Picaflores de Patay" is the name of her community bank and she feels happy to belong to a solid group of responsible people. Margot will use her loan money to buy bags of organic fertilizer and one bag of pea seeds which she will sow in February.
