A loan helped to buy natural fertilizers.

Notilde's story

Notilde is 39 years old and is a humble woman. She lives with her husband, Luciano, whom she has been married to for 13 years. Together they have 3 children, all of which are minors and live at home with them. They own their own home which is located in Jatumpampa. She has a lot of experience planting potatoes, root vegetables and peas. She plants in rented land, because they do not have their own property. She said, " I have many expenses, my children are still small and for this reason I cannot save money.". She works with great care, planting on large plots of land and always caring for her crops. She removes the weeds that grow in between her plants and fertilizes constantly to maintain her crops health. She has twelve years of experience selling her crops in the capital of the country. Each month her husband drives to the capital with a rented truck, in order to be sure that the buyers are offering a fair price. She also makes a living raising small animals like sheep and pigs. She fattens the animals so that she can later sell them for a better price. She is a member of the communal bank “Jatumpampa al Progreso” and this is the fourth loan she has taken out with MFP. She is happy to know that she has financial support from these organizations, to be able to advance her business. She promises once again to make her payments on time. She is happy to be a part of her communal bank because all of the members are responsible people and united. Notilde, with your support, will invest the money she is requesting in buying natural fertilizers which she will scatter amongst her potato crop.
