Hipolito's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy manure and fertilizer for his coffee crop.

Hipolito's story

Hipólito, age 53, has been married for 30 years. He has two children, ages 16 and 10. Both children attend school. He lives with his family in a rural village in the San José Comayagua municipality. His business is agriculture. He started his work when he was very young. Specifically, he devotes himself to growing coffee and basic grains. He sells wet parchment coffee to intermediaries for exportation. He has some land for growing crops, which he obtained with a great deal of work, determination, and dedication. This provides him with family stability and sources of income. He has had various loans with ODEF. He is now requesting his third loan to buy manure and fertilizer for the clearing and maintenance of the crops. That way he will be able to have good harvests. His plan is to be able to cultivate one “manzana” (7000 square meters) of coffee in order to get better production.
