Blanca Nieves Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase wool.

Blanca Nieves Group's story

The “BLANCA NIEVES” Communal Bank will initiate its first loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of its Santiago II central office. It is composed of eleven members under a board of directors led by Sra. Tomasa. The businesses of the bank’s members are varied: among them we have a variety of woven goods, the sale of chicharrónes (pork rinds), the sale of sweets, public transportation, pants making, knitted sweaters, cattle sales, perfume sales, wallet sales and pastry sales. Sra. Tomasa notes that this is her first time working with Pro Mujer and that she joined the institution at the invitation of her brother-in-law. Currently she has a knitted goods business that she has been working at for some time. The loan she is requesting is to expand her capital to buy wool which she will acquire wholesale from La Ceja and later knit and sell at her sales stall. This kind of work enables her to generate earnings to support her family since she lives with her partner and has three children. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responded that she enjoys the training. In the photo Sra. Yhovana is missing because she had to see a doctor.
