Paso De Oro Group's story

The communal bank Paso de Oro is in the city of Lambaré, its members are a group of women who live in a poor settlement and many of them do not even have access to drinking water and electrical power supply. Even though they lack these basic utilities, these women establish different micro-enterprising businesses in order to get ahead in life and support their families. Juana is one of the female members and tells us she sells all kinds of vegetables for a living. She grows some of the vegetables herself, so it is cheaper. She says she works really hard to support her family and wishes to give her family everything that she was not able to have. She wants this loan to buy vegetables such as tomatoes, green pepper, onions, etc. to sell them to her customers.
