Sop Serigne Madicke Group's story

The solidarity group Sop Serigne Madike was formed on May 8, 2010. It is made up of 15 women from the same locale. They are all in practically the same businesses (processing oil, shopkeeping and fattening sheep). Ndoumbé, standing on the right in the photo, is responsible for the group. She is dressed in green with a white scarf. She is 49 years old. She is married and mother to six children and takes care of two other children. She sells bread and baobab fruit in the village and also fattens sheep. Her profits will allow her to support her husband in taking care of the family's needs.
