Josephine's story

This is Josephine, 46, a resident of Dasmarinas, Cavite, Philippines. Her husband is Johnmar, a goldsmith. She, together with her husband, manages their household while operating the business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses. Josephine operates a jewelry store. She sells gold jewelry. She also earns income through clients who would like to have their broken jewelry repaired. She is the one who manages the financial and marketing side of their business together with her husband, the goldsmith. She also sells electronic load for additional income. Her store is located in the marketplace. Her regular customers are neighbors and the local community. She makes a minimum of 2000 Philippine Pesos (PHP) in sales every day. To help her continue the operation of her business, she is requesting a Php 45,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy raw materials needed in their jewelry business. She expects a boost in her business income as they expand their business. Josephine dreams of expanding her store and helping her family through all her hard work on her business. She faithfully meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week and also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies. * All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.
