Uulkan

Uulkan is 41 years old, widowed and is raising four children. She works as a nurse in the local hospital but due to the low salaries to medical workers she also supplements the family's income by raising livestock. Uulkan started her livestock business with the purchase of a foal and has now expanded her herd to include two horses and 20 sheep. To further expand her business Uulkan has turned to "Bai-Tushum and partners" for a loan of 120,000 som (KGS). She plans to use the money to purchase two more horses for her herd and plans to use the profits from this expansion to buy more animals and save money for her children's education.
