A loan helped to buy cacao plants.

Fabian's story

Fabián is 43 and a native of Santa Rosa. He lives in his own house with his wife of 41 years, Celsa. They are the parents of two children, 17 year old Karina and 13 year old Ana, who bring happiness to the house. Fabián is a high-functioning man. He puts a lot of care into the work he does. His job is working the land, since he is a country person and has a field where he cultivates cacao and coffee. He has been working for 16 years and he knows the meaning of hard work in agriculture. During the harvest, Fabian looks for the support of day laborers who can help him with fruit picking. His most profitable crops are coffee and cacao beans, which gathering companies pay very well for per kilogram. The problem with his work stems from the fact that he cannot fight the insects that want to hurt the fruits from the plants. With the requested loan he will prioritize the purchase of cacao plants in order to boost his crops and thereby increase his production. This will be his second loan with MFP, and he is very grateful for their collaboration, which allows him to continue working. At his communal bank he is punctual in his payments, and he feels happy to work with responsible people. With the 3,000 nuevos soles he will be able to buy cacao plants to boost his crops and thereby increase his production.
