Mahuclo Group's story
The Mahuclo group consists of thirteen persons from the same neighborhood. This is the second time the group has sought financial support from ALIDé, to raise the level of its business activities. The representative of the group, Jeanne Léocadie, is raisiing her hand in the picture. She is 39 years old and lives in Benin. She left school at primary level. Jeanne Léocadie is married to an entrepreneur named Elias. The couple has three children; all attend school and are their dependents. In addition to their own children, the couple takes care of another child. Jeanne Léocadie lives together with her husband and children. To deal with various family expenses over the past four years, Jeanne Léocadie has been working at home as a seamstress. As a second activity, she sells grain cereals, shoes and fabrics. She gets her supplies from a city in Benin and also from Togo. Seeking to satisfy customers and wanting to increase her turnover and income, Jeanne Léocadie, together with the other members of the Mahuclo group, is requesting a second credit loan from ALIDé. The first loan was repaid in full.
