A loan helped to pay for fertilizer and farm inputs needed in his business.
This is Jessamin, 49, resident of Silang Cavite, Philippines. He is married to Ruperta, a housewife and a mother to her two children, the youngest is still studying in elementary while the eldest is already married. By the grace of God, Jessamin has managed to support his children's schooling. At this time, he is working hard to send his youngest to school. Jessamin operates a pineapple growing farm. He grows pineapple and some bananas on their farm located in Cavite, which is in the highlands where it is suitable to grow pineapple and bananas. He sells his product to markets and fruit stores that he regularly supplies and to the local community. He earns a minimum of PHP 900 in sales every day. To help him continue operations of his business, he is requesting a loan of PHP 41, 000. He will use the loan to buy fertilizer and farm inputs for his business. Part of the loan will go to the maintenance of his farm. He expects a boost in his business income as he expands his business. Jessamin dreams of being able to give his family a good and future through all his hard work on his business. He faithfully meets up with his co-fellowship* members every week to share stories of his work and to draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God, which he studies. * All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
