Connie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more sugar, soap and home products to sell to her customers.

Connie's story

Connie is 28 years old and lives in the town of Hoima, which is located in the Luweero region of Uganda. She is married and has two children, one of whom is currently in school. For the past three years, she has been working hard to manage her retail shop, where she sells sugar, soap and home products. To help expand her business, she is applying for a loan for 1,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda to buy more items to sell. Her goal is to increase her profits so that she can buy more food for her family. Her goal for the future is to own a wholesale business. Connie is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP), which serves people who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans but have businesses that are too large to qualify for microloans.
