Juanito's story

Juanito is a responsible father whose priority is to improve his family's living condition and let his children finish their studies. He is 34 years old, married and has three studying children. Juanito has been running his rice fields for fourteen years and he only earnt PHP 20,000 last crop season. He used his generated income for his family's daily needs, his children's allowances and feed for his raised hogs. He realized that his farming business requires greater capital input for him to maintain a good harvest. In this regard, Juanito is requesting a PHP 30,000 loan, which will serve as his additional working capital at his farm. He will be using this loan to purchase seedlings, fertilizer and insecticides to improve his rice crops and farmland. Jaunito hopes to make his business more profitable despite the hardships and difficulties he encounters in maintaining his agricultural business.
