Katy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy jeans, women's clothing, and shoes.
Katy, age 21, lives with her partner and three-year-old child in the beautiful city of Cartagena, on the shores of the Caribbean. There she has a varied business, selling merchandise from her home. She started this business with a loan from a friend, and her business is now her job. For this reason, her greatest dream is to expand it and make more income from it. Her goal for the future is to make it a large store, where her customers will find everything they need. Her greatest challenge is a lack of working capital to respond to her growing customer demand. Every day her customers are excited to see her products. Her customers are her neighbours and residents of the surrounding area. She is currently applying for a Kiva loan, her first loan from the Fundacion Mario Santo Domingo. With it, she will purchase jeans, women's clothing, and shoes. This will help her to get ready for the New Year; this is a season in which her customers want to update their wardrobes and buy clothing so that they look good for Christmas and the New Year.
