Miramar Femenina 4 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy vegetables, meat, fruits, and grocery products.

Miramar Femenina 4 Group's story

Josefina is the coordinator of her group Miramar Feminina 4. Her story is representative of her group and others from the city of Samana, an area with a nascent tourism industry where running water (none of which is potable) and electricity are unreliable. She makes her home here in a simple structure with her husband and their four children. Josefina is excited to be taking her 13th loan with Esperanza after having successfully repaid her previous loan and grown her business. Josefina started her business with her first Esperanza loan seven years ago. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business running a food stand where she sells vegetables, meat, fruits, salads, and other grocery products. She will use the profits to make changes in her business and house, specifically in the structure, by building a small stand next to her house. She thanks you all for your support.
