Sarepta Plus Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to increase the inventory of her drugstore needed by her customers.

Sarepta Plus Group's story

Sarepta Plus is a Community Bank made up of 26 micro entrepreneurs. Their chairwoman is Isabelle. These members are united by the same goal- to grow their businesses with loans received from Kiva through IMF HOPE RDC. Isabelle operates a drugstore in the eastern suburban area of Kinshasa. She is 46 years old, married and the mother of three children who are between the ages of 14 and 18. Two of them attend school. Isabelle began her business in 2006. With hard work and good management, and by providing good customer service, Isabelle’s business has prospered and has permanent customers to keep it up. Her business generates about 70 USD of profit per week. Isabelle's strength is purchasing appropriate drugs for her customers. Isabelle has already received seven loans from Microfinance Institution HOPE DRC and successfully repaid them. With the next loan, she is planning to expand her business by buying more medicine needed by her customers. Her ambition is to open another drugstore.
