Salima's story

Salima lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is single with six children. Four of her children go to school. She takes care of additional family members (grand children). She raises poultry from home on a retail basis. She works seven days a week. She has been in business for many years. She has requested a loan of 1,500,000 from MCDT SACCO to purchase more bags of poultry feed and vaccines. Her major business challenges are transportation of bags of chicken feeds from Mengo Kisenyi to her home and thieves. Her goals and aspirations are to own 1,000 laying birds and to build more houses for her poultry. She lives in her own house. The family has access to electricity but does not have access to piped water. Her major monthly expenses are school fees and feeding the family.
