Chuon's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to purchase some piglets for raising.
Mr. Chuon is a 38-year-old villager who comes from Reussey Keo commune, Phnom Penh. He and his wife are farmers. They grow annual crop, cultivating rice and also getting an annual profit. This couple strives to ensure a standard of living and to raise their five children who are living together with them. One of Chuon’s children acts as a barber in the village. With the rest of his time, Chuon wants to make more income by raising some piglets, but his capital is not sufficient to achieve this aim. Now Chuon is looking for some funds from Kiva’s funders in the sum of USD $1,000 to supplement his own capital so he can purchase some piglets for raising. He intends to send his school-aged children to attend a local school this year if he makes more income from his pig-raising business.
