La Esperanza Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy iron, sheets of metal, paint and other products.

La Esperanza Group's story

This committee was formed thanks to the initiative of one of its members who used to belong to another group. She contacted her friends and neighbors to form this group in her area. The committee is called 'La Esperanza' (Hope) and its sixteen members are in their third loan cycle. This is a group which stands out in the neighborhood for its unity and responsibility. The members of the group have a great entrepreneurial spirit. They are up to date with their repayments and they work together on different activities to collect funds which can save the committee should the need arise. One of the members of the committee is Rosalina, who has a well-stocked blacksmith's. She tells us that her business is going very well because she has good customers who come to her for the good service that she provides and for her good work. She would like to continue stocking her business and so is requesting a loan to buy clothing and tools which she needs for her blacksmith's such as iron, sheets of metal, paints, etc. She is grateful to Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva for the opportunity that they are giving her.
