Apollo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more stationery supplies.

Apollo's story

Apollo is 30 years old and lives in the Mbale region of Uganda. He is married and has one child. For the past four years, Apollo has been working hard to manage his stationery store, which sells office supplies and offers photocopying services. To help expand his business, Apollo has requested a loan of 2,500,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more stationery supplies, and will help Apollo to generate greater profits and improve the quality of life for his family. Apollo hopes that in the future he will be able to open another stationery business in town. Apollo is a member of BRAC's Small Enterprise Program (SEP). The program primarily serves small entrepreneurs like Apollo who do not have enough collateral for commercial loans, but have businesses that have grown too large for microloans.
