Neema-Kimara Group's story

Rehema, who is in her early 30s is married with two children who are still going to school. She has been running three different types of businesses. She has a grocery store, sells charcoal and has a motor cycle for five years now. She works from 6 a.m to 6 p.m daily and is able to make a good monthly profit. This will be her 6th motisha loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. A Motisha loan is a product offered by Tujijenge Tanzania given in the middle of the main loan that motivate borrowers with good credit ratings who pay back their loans smoothly to receive half amount of the existing loan before their original loan term has ended. She used he previous loans to open charcoal business, bought a pikipiki (motorcycle)for transport business, built rooms for renting and household expenses. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She wishes for a loan to go upcountry and buy more sacks of charcoal to sell. Her dream is to one day be able to still build rooms for renting. She will share this loan with her loan group "Neema-Kimara" which has a total of 14 members who will hold each other accountable in paying back their loans.
