A loan helped To boost dairy business, construct a green house and buy poultry birds.
Henry has been in active farming for 8 years producing and selling milk, eggs and poultry birds to the local market in his hometown of Kitale, Western Kenya. He is married with 7 children with the first born being 13 years and the youngest 2 months old. Henry has requested for a loan of 60,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to expand his farming business and make it his source of livelihood for the family. He says he will use 30,000 KES to construct a greenhouse, 20,000 KES to purchase poultry birds and 10,000 KES to boost his dairy business by purchasing better equipment to help in safe delivery of milk to the local markets. Henry hopes to double his dairy business from the income generated by the businesses. He hopes to buy milk coolant in the near future. He however sees a poor road network to markets as a challenge to farmers.
