Khar Yalla Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy utensils for resale.

Khar Yalla Group's story

The solidarity group Khar Yalla was created on June 9, 2008 upon cycle 2 of the Banc Villageois. The group is comprised of sixteen women from the same district. They are active in small-scale commerce. The group's official, Ms. Aïcha, is 66 years old and a married mother of seven children. She supports her two grandchildren. She runs a business selling utensils and has good experience in it. In the photo, she is the one seated at the right, dressed in orange and black, and holding a fan in her right hand. Ms. Aïcha buys her goods in the big cities and sells them in her Commune. Her loan will serve to increase her supply of utensils in order to make more income. With the profits, she plans on building up significant savings in order to obtain another loan that is larger but also to improve her family's well-being.
