Raul's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy sacks of fertilizer.
Raúl, 43, lives in the hamlet of Shururuyoc. He formed his family there with Emilia, his wife. They have five children that he wants to provide a better quality of life for. His main virtue is hard work. He’s a farmer and his main crops are lima beans, peas, potatoes and barley. He cares for his fields every day during the morning because he says that the work requires much dedication so that the harvest will be a success and he’ll be able to reap it in its entirety to sell to wholesalers in the area that pay very well. What he most enjoys about his work is harvest time because his older children help him with the work; the rest of the time they are studying at the university in the city. He also comments that recently he started selling firewood at wholesale and raising cattle that he fattens up for subsequent sale at higher prices. He earns extra income this way that he uses to provide a better quality of life for his family. He belongs to the “Campo Verde” (Green Countryside) communal bank and this is the sixth MFP loan where he’s very grateful for another opportunity. He says that his work group is one of the best ones because all the members are punctual with their payments and he promises to be so too. If Raúl were to receive your support, he will invest the requested money purchasing natural fertilizer to spread among his lima bean, pea and potato crops that he has planted.
