San Lorenzo Group's story
This group is called San L.. One of its members dropped out because her business didn’t work out; she was investing more in purchases than what she was earning in profits. Despite this, however, she’s happy to have attempted it. The people who joined the group are: Margarita, Donaciana, Sixta and Cándido who already have businesses and want to make them bigger. Felicitas sells bread. She likes her business very much because it produces good profits. She’s sold bread since she was a little girl because her mother was also in this occupation. The dates when she sells most is when there are weddings, baptisms or the Day of the Dead because orders are placed three days ahead of time. She requested the loan to buy more ingredients to make bread like: flour, eggs, shortening, yeast and Royal baking powder. She is very grateful to her mother because she taught her this business and she’s very proud of herself for being able to manage it and because her customers are very happy for the good service she provides and because the bread she makes is so delicious and made by an indigenous person who wants to improve herself. She feels happy because when it is vacation season people come to the town and buy bread from her and buy it at wholesale to take it back to where they came from so other people can taste it. She thanks the Fundación for the support it’s provided and for the interest it shows for her fellow group members.
