Léa A. D.'s Group's story
Léa is the guarantor for Nyonnouke with whom she has joined together to obtain a loan from FINADEV. She is married and raising four children, all enrolled in school. She lives together with her husband and children. Her husband is a welder with a workshop in the town of Cotonou. Her husband supports the household but she tries to do her part as well. Léa has been selling cooked food: rice, beans, "piron" (a dish made of manioc), and grilled meats for almost 15 years at her father's home. She serves a diverse clientele who appreciate the quality of her dishes. For her business, Léa shops almost every day in the surrounding markets. Wishing to satisfy the demand of her clientele, she has requested and obtained her first loan from FINADEV. Léa expects to be able to make a good deal of income from this loan so that she can ensure her children's survival and also give them a bit more comfort.
