Los Claveles 1, 2 & 3 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy beans, flour, cooking oil, charcoal, etc.

Los Claveles 1, 2 & 3 Group's story

Ana enjoys working both at home and in her business. She is a member of a group named Los Claveles, or The Carnations. Her group is located in the urban slums surrounding Santo Domingo where running water (none of which is potable) and electricity are unreliable.

Ana is excited to be participating in her first group loan with Esperanza. Her group is dedicated to doing business around its community and other villages selling such things as food, clothes, shoes, cosmetics, underwear and many other products.

Ana started selling boiled beans three months ago. She now sells boiled beans (like the ones that are canned) and fried rounds maD. of flour, a very popular item especially in fried food stalls. She will use her portion of this loan to buy beans, flour, cooking oil, butter, eggs, ham, cheese, charcoal, etc.

Ana plans to reinvest her profits in her business. She thanks you all for your support.
