Dolores's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy feed, vitamins and vaccines for the hogs.
Dolores lives happily in her hometown of Estefania, Cagayan, together with her husband and five children. Though the family lives less fortunately than some, Dolores still aspires that someday she would lift her family out of poverty. With her patience and minimal capital, she established a hog raising business. She had been raising hogs for almost five years. When she sells them to the butchers who came in to their village, she usually earned 2,000 PHP for each hog she was able to dispose of. Profits gained from the business were just enough to cover their daily expenses, especially all her children's needs for daily allowances. She is now asking for a loan of 15,000 PHP to buy feed, vitamins and vaccines for the hogs. With the help of this loan, she would provide enough sustenance and ensure good growth of her hogs. In the future, Dolores wants to strengthen her hog raising business to save for the college education of her children and for them to have degrees someday, the only legacy she could pass on to them.
