Gocha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase materials to build a sheep pen and five sheep.

Gocha's story

Gocha lives in the village of Dilikauri, Zestaponi District, West Georgia. He is 36 years old. Gocha is leading the agricultural business in the family. They own two milk cows and one sheep and sell the dairy products on nearby town's open market. The family earns additional income through sales of grapes harvested from their family-owned 250 vine trees. Along with the family farm, Gocha also works as a loader in the village. Gocha is married and lives with his family: his wife Olja and his 16-year-old daughter. Olja has health problems and gets a monthly pension from the state in the amount of 70 Laris. Gocha’s daughter goes to school. The total average income of the family is 630 Laris, including Olja’s pension. Gocha requested credit for building a sheepcote (pen for sheep). Part of the credit will be used to purchase five sheep. He will start selling lambs and use the milk from the sheep to produce cheese, which will be sold on nearby town's open market as well. The income of the family will increase. In the future, Gocha plans to reinvest part of the income in the sheep-breeding business for its further development. The other part of the increased income will be used for improving the daily living conditions of the family.
