Dabo 02 Group's story
Dabo 2 Group was established on July 12, 2008 and has been through five loan cycles with the banc villageois program. It is made up of 21 women who live in the same village. It's main business is small-scale trade. Mrs. Chérif (standing on the far right in the picture) is the group leader. She's 31 years old, married, and the mother of three children. For more than five years, she's been selling peanut paste and palm oil at the market in her town, a business has run for the past 5 years. Her new loan will enable her to buy peanut paste for resale. The profits derived from her business will help her in part to buy goats and sheep, and in part to support her husband with the family's expenses.
