Benedicta's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a sack of pea seeds and cheese.

Benedicta's story

Octavia, 53, is a responsible woman. She lives in Villa Visca settlement along with her husband, Marcelino, with whom she has 8 children, but only 3, who are still minors, live with them. To support the family, this hardworking woman is an agriculturalist who plants potatoes and peas in large quantities alongside her husband, who is her staunch and wholehearted partner. What she most likes about her work is spending time in the countryside: “It is nice and quiet and very peaceful,” she states. She also travels frequently to the city of Lima, where she sells the delicious cheese that is only produced in the mountains of Peru and where sales have been profitable since she began this business 4 years ago. Presently she is preparing to harvest her “Yungay” potatoes [a sturdy Peruvian highland variety] from which she also expects to make a good profit. This is her eighth loan from MFP and she hopes to have the support of all of you so that she can continue to reach her goals. She promises to make her payments on time and, upon receiving your support, she will invest the money in purchasing pea seeds for her next sowing as well as various cheese molds for her business.
