Rwenshama Boda Boda Association B Group's story

Abert, aged 49, feels that he is worth his salt in his shoe sales business. He says that the inside lane of continued and future success is what his mind is set on now. He is worth his salt based on the fact that he has brought hard work to bear on his transactions. And it shows in the beehive activity at his shoe stall as clients flock either to try on the many pairs of shoes he has on offer or just to catch a glimpse. Abert is a humorous, focused, God-fearing and good-natured dad to four cheerful kids who are all in school at present. He says he has been in this business for 13 years now. He operates in Rukungiri, in the West of Uganda. Abert proudly speaks of how he has been able to extricate his family from its below the breadline existence with earnings from this business. This business he says was brought into existence with savings from his maiden business - farming. He says this business generates him monthly sales income to the tune of 200,000 Ugandan shillings. He intends to use this Kiva loan to purchase more pairs of shoes to resell.
