She is single and 26 years old and has 1 son. She makes "anticuchos" [kebobs] which she sells in the evening until late at night. She buys beef in large quantities which she cuts up and seasons with spices. She places four pieces of meat on a skewer with a cooked potato and grills it to serve with a side dish called "uchucuta" in Quechua, ground rocoto pepper with spices. She sells from six in the evening until 12 at night. She needs the loan to invest in buying meat and other ingredients. She also needs to buy a couple of plastic chairs to improve her service in grow her small business. She sells on a commercial corner of her neighborhood on the sidewalk. She sets up every afternoon and sells as a street vendor outdoors. She needs the loan to invest in buying meat, spices, and plastic chairs for her customers. The other members of the bank sell vegetables and herbs, are street vendors of food, sell dry goods, raise small animals such as guinea pigs, pigs, and poultry. Others work in transportation.
