Sra. Cirila is a single mother with five children. For this reason, she had worked tirelessly for some time selling pots and cooking utensils on an informal basis. Cirila traveled on foot to the various markets in the area. The work required great sacrifice because the effort caused her fatigue and she also had to endure the danger in the streets. During one of her trips, she saw the opportunity to change her business by renting a vending stall at a market. Cirila began selling condiments and spices. With very few products, she barely earned enough money to pay the rent on her vending stall. As time passed, her business improved to the point that she was able to buy the vending stall she previously rented. Her business has grown tremendously and now she has more products to offer to her customers. The products she sells most are spices, milk, oil, and other items.
Her current loan will be useful for buying sausages and eggs. This investment is very important because it will help her proviD. an education for her children. Sra. Cirila is a member of the group “Los Girasoles del Algodonal” (The Sunflowers in the Cotton Field), which consists of 10 members.
