Godfrey's story

Godfrey is 28 years old and lives in the town of Wakiso in the Kampala east region of Uganda. He is married and has three children. Two of his children are currently in school. Godfrey has a small retail shop that sells products such as sugar, which he has had for 3 years. To help expand his business, Godfrey has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings (UGX) from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase essential commodities, like sugar, for resale. With the help of the loan from BRAC, Godfrey hopes to generate greater profits and pay school fees for his children. In the future, Godfrey hopes to expand his business. Godfrey is a member of BRAC’s small enterprise (SEP) program, which has helped his prospects for the future by improving his business.
