A loan helped to buy cement, sand, and rocks.
Isabel Hilda's story
Ever since Hilda, age 62, was very little she has really liked the art of cooking. That is why she thought of having her own business making breakfasts and lunches. Her daughter, now an adult, helps her with the business. Specifically, the dish she sells the most is “caldo de salchicha” (soup with sausage). It is a typical dish in Guayaquil. That is why she makes it with great enthusiasm and dedication. The lack of safety in the zone where she lives, a peri-urban zone, is something that worries her. It is a commonplace occurrence. Her children, who are now grown, eat her dishes because they really like the way she prepares food. In order to continue with her business she wants the loan to buy cement, sand, and rocks to build a good place where she would make her big dream, having a well-established business, a reality.
