Luisa's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to buy non-perishable goods with which to stock her store and to buy a bull.
Luisa is a widow who lives with her four children in her own home. She farms and raises livestock. She raises cows, bulls, sheep and pigs. She also has a grocery store in her home. Over the last ten years, Luisa tells us that she has intensified her work on the land but without neglecting her children who help her to look after her store when they are able. Each week she stocks up with merchandise so that her store is full of non-perishable products. Over time, her work has enabled her to grow financially. She is able to alternate her work: when the sowing season is over, she has to wait for the harvest season to begin and, in the meantime, she works in her store so that she never stops making profits. In the future, Luisa would like to further develop her store. She would like to expand it and stock it with a variety of products. She learned about MFP through her neighbors who invited her to join their community bank. She has faced difficult times and has overcome them. She has always shown herself to be punctual in making her loan repayments because she has always invested her loans wisely. She has been working with group loans from MFP over the course of 15 loan cycles. She will invest the money that she is currently requesting in buying merchandise for her store. She will also buy a bull for her stable.
