Gulsara's story

Gulsara is 55, married and has three children. She works as an English language teacher at the school in Tokmok and is known as an accurate and open-hearted teacher. Her husband, Turatbek, also works as a teacher in mathematics. In order to find an additional means of subsistence for her family, Gulsara began to develop her business in cattle breeding in 1995. She bought milk cows with her start-up capital of 20.000 KGS and managed to earn about 20,000 KGS in a month from selling milk products.

Gulsara plans to use her loan of 100,000 KGS to broaden her business by buying two milk cows. With the revenues from these investments, she will be able to help her son to reconstruct his house and raise her family's living standards.
