Faustina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fifteen sheep.

Faustina's story

Faustina is a member of the "Niño Jesús de Praga" (Infant Jesus of Prague) Communal Bank, located in Yunguyo District and Province, Puno Department. She is 38 years old, married and has four children who go to school. Faustina has a secondary level education. Together with her husband she sells beef and pork. She has worked with Movimiento Manuela R. for ten years, and her first loan was for 300 new soles, which increased her capital for her beef sales business. With this new loan of 3000 new soles, Faustina will invest in fifteen nice fat sheep. She says that she buys them live and butchers them later. Little by little she sells them retail in a local market in Yunguyo. Her dream is to set up a large store and thus considerably increase her earnings. What Faustina likes about the Communal Bank are the members' jokes and the solidarity among them.
