Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's story
The “Mujeres Emprendedoras" (Enterprising Women) Communal Bank is in the city of Asunción. It is currently comprised of 20 members. They are all united for one common cause, which is to be able to generate more income. That way they will be able to live decently and without deprivations. The bank is known in the neighborhood by its members who actively work with mutual respect and cooperation. Maria has been a dressmaker for several years, and she is therefore well known in the neighborhood. There is a lot of demand in her business because her work is very good. She says that all of her efforts are done with the vision of giving her family a better lifestyle without deprivations. She is requesting the loan to buy fabric, thread, and needle kits to use in her seamstress shop.
