Bulenga Twekembe Group B's story

Cheerful, courteous, warmhearted and easy to approach, 35-year-old Annet, the mother of five affable kids, has been diligently working to establish a place of vantage for her general merchandise retail business in Mpigi for the last 12 years. She established this business with capital from her food sales enterprise and has used the experience gained over the years to effectively plan and carry out implementation of her plans. The fact that she consistently takes stock of her successes and failures has also been of paramount significance, helping her to strike a balance in her operations. Her business success lies in the fact that she regularly restocks commodities that her clients want. Her shop appeals to many people-not only the rank and file but also the middle class.

This business generates Annet Ugandan shillings 120,000 weekly as sales profits. She says this Kiva loan money will help in the purchase of more retail commodities such as sugar, salt, local stoves, paraffin, soft drinks, candles, lamps, plastics, etc. to resell.
