Mujeres Al Triunfo 1 & 2 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy chicken, plantains, cooking oil, etc.

Mujeres Al Triunfo 1 & 2 Group's story

Juana is the coordinator of her group Mujeres al triunfo 1 & 2 (Women to victory). She makes her home here in a simple structure with her long-term partner. She says that her biggest challenge is to have savings so that if her grown children need something, she could proviD. it and have a better living standard. This is her first loan with Esperanza. Juana has had her business for almost two years. Using some savings she started selling fried food and now she has a Pica Pollo (fried chicken restaurant), where the principal dish is chicken with fried plantains or potatoes. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business by buying many pounds of chicken, plantains, potatoes and cooking oil. Also she will purchase chairs and tables. She will use the profits to save and reinvest in her business. Her group is located in the urban slums surrounding Santo Domingo and is composed of 10 people.
