Ngwa Christina's story
Christina is married to a lovely husband and they are both blessed with five children and all are above the ages of 15 and are in school. She lives in Bamenda North west region of Cameroon. Her major challenges in life have been the difficulty of her children dropping out of school and inadequate capital to start up a business for herself before joining GHAPE. She has also suffered greatly from ill health. Given a loan she plans to buy pig feed, drugs for the animals, maintain her piggery and transport her newly bought piglets to their nursing site. Christina knows her business is going to succeed because she had acquired some basic training in finance management and pig training from GHAPE and also has ten years of experience in this business. She also has got the land and other support. The loan if granted will enable her to sell in her neighborhood at cheaper rates. Christina has successfully borrowed and repaid loansin the past She will plough back her profit into her business and use part to care for her family. She also will use the proceeds to finish the construction plan she earlier started. Her childrens school needs will be taken care of. She prefers GHAPE because of the training she frequently receives and the low cost in obtaining and paying back a loan.
