Livy's story

Mrs. Livy is a member of the communal bank "Las Tesoritos" in the district of Yarinacocha in the department of Ucayali. She is 26, married and has a son. For four cycles she has been working with loans from Manuela Ramos. She has a food business in a small stall and takes her son with her to work because she has no one to leave him with. She works all day and only returns home to sleep. With the new loan of 1,700 PEN she will buy 1/2 sack of rics, 1/2 sack of sugar, 1 bag of pasta, vegetable soups, 1 gallon of oil, vinegar and soy sauce. These products are necessary for her food preparation. Her work is very tiring but it allows her to help her husband with the household expenses. He has a motor-car (transportation) service. She is grateful to Manuela Ramos for being part of her dream. She wants to continue working to improve her son's lifestyle.
