Mu´ssha Group's story
Aurelia is originally from the community of Francisco Serrato, located in the state of Michoacan. It is a locality that is rich in pine trees and it has a beautiful view of its forests. Here, the Mazahua language and clothing are predominant. Aurelia says that she is an artisan who produces ladies' accessories, such as wooden bracelets, wooden earrings, weaved bracelets, dresses, wool hand bags, and embroidery. she sells her accessories in the Zitacuaro Michoacan gardens and she also sells them along the streets. She also makes straw articles such as baskets, plates, large baskets, tortilla baskets, etc. She says that she has been in business for 4 years and she loves making these crafts. These are articles that her ancestors used. She says that 10 years ago her mother showed her how to make these crafts. Aurelia is a widow. She says that the loan will help her because she will be able to purchase other types of ladies' accessories to add more variety to her stand. Aurelia's goal is to purchase ladies' summer blouses. The other members of the group are Venancio, Josefa, Elpidio, and Maria Eduviges. They request a loan to invest in the purchase of wood, groceries, and to help in the crafting of traditional garments.
